Starting this year, I'm ganna try to blog about nice spots in Cheras and surrounding areas. As it were, I wasn't planning on blogging this trip (hence lack of pictures) but it's such a nice restaurant so I'm going ahead anyway.

Meet & Dine is located at Budiman Business Park, Bandar Sungai Long. It's 10 minutes away from the Cheras-Kajang Highway exit. First time you're there, you'll be admiring how elegant and understated the place looks like from the outside. The building is a repurposed factory. You'll notice mostly the glass panels and modern fishbone wall with a large signage bearing the restaurant name "Meet & Dine".
I went here once before, for our agency award night. Yes, they do cater to small private events and I remembered the banquet being sumptuous.

For my second time, and hub's first time.. we went there for lunch. The interior was luxe and spacious yet cosy.

Meet & Dine dub themselves "semi-fine dining" and it's halal, as the owners themselves are muslims. BIG PLUS for this.
Now on to the food.
The price is what you'd expect from international western food chain like Chili's or TGIF. The menu is a nice mixture of western and Malaysian dish.
Kids menu is a plus, although it would be nice if kids eat for free. Here's to hoping.
Hubs ordered creamy carbonara and I had their curry laksa.
The food presentation was so good, we were impressed when the waiter sent us our food. The food was pleasing to the eye and I couldn't wait to dig in. The carbonara was rich and the portion was just nice. I liked that it wasn't too much that people end up wasting food.
The curry laksa had a generous portion of condiments and tastes perfect. Not too salty, and again, very rich. Kudos to the chef because it was such a delightful meal.
Hubs then ordered teh tarik. We loved the teh tarik. We drink alot of teh tariks, but I don't know what did the chef put in this drink. Worth it! We didn't have anything else at that point because we only stopped for normal lunch. Next time, I'm going to sample other things on their menu and will try their dessert too.
